Vacation series being restarted

New Line Cinema are planning to reboot the legendary Vacation film that initially starred Chevrolet Chase and Beverly D'Angelo.The Horrible Bosses follow-up may be on hold as writing duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein could make their directorial debut around the latest version of Vacation, with various script they first pitched last season.The 1983 original saw the Griswold family's holiday journey get beyond control from camel riding to S.W.A.T teams. Vacation ongoing to spawn three sequels: European Vacation, Christmas Vacation and Vegas Vacation.Daley and Goldstein's script is mentioned to produce back the Griswolds, just with a completely new generation introduced by Rusty Griswold, the boy of Chevrolet Chase's Clark within the original film.There's no news yet on whether Chase or D'Angelo will reprise their roles in cameo form to feed the vacation torch for their boy.
